If you have had a look through the website, you will see lots of references to www.greenwave.org and how they provide all sorts of resources to help new ocean farmers get up and going. All up there are 155 courses and instructional videos covering topics on kelp cultivation, from site selection, farm design, and gear to permitting, harvesting, and commercial scaling.
All this information is available on their website, free of charge from this non-profit organisation.
They even have an online design tool to enable new farmers to design their own farm. You just enter all the parameters where the farm will be located, such as total area, water depth, water quality, type of seabed, tidal range, tide flow rates, etc. You have options for how long and how many rows you want in your 'array'. It even calculates a budget and pick list for the equipment you will need.
Quite amazing.
Here's and example design that took me 5 minutes to put together. I have also added in the sample equipment list and proposed budget that is produced at the same time. It's calculated in $USD but gives a good indication of costs.
